FRANCE'S DEAF SOCCER TEAM CROWNED EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS 2024

Congratulations to the French Deaf Football Team for winning the European Championship 2024, an event that took place in Antalya, Turkey, from May 20 to June 1, 2024. In a breathtaking final, Les Bleus beat world number 1 Ukraine with a score of 3 goals to 2 after extra time, crowning a European campaign in which France remained unbeaten.

In addition to this title, several members of the French team received individual awards for their outstanding performances:
 - Romain Mathieu, the team's coach, was voted best coach of the championship.
 - Striker Antoine Le Bigaut was named best player of the championship.
 - Nélio Carré was named best young U21 hopeful.
 - Kévin Juliano was named man of the match for the final.

The championship, which brought together 13 European countries, saw exceptional performances from the French team. This victory in 2024 marks a triumphant return to the European stage after their first title in 2007. France had already caused a sensation by becoming Olympic runners-up in 2021 in Brazil, after a narrow 1-0 loss to Ukraine in the final.
