Combating violence in sport
Created in December 2019, as part of the national strategy to combat violence in sport, initiated by the Ministry of Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the national unit for handling reports of violence in sport is tasked with examining each report and assisting the Ministry's departmental services in conducting administrative investigations, under the authority of the prefects.
It supervises all procedures and communicates with the sports federations' referents for the necessary administrative procedures. It also refers individuals to victim support associations.
The unit handles reports of various forms of violence, including sexual, physical and psychological abuse, sexist comments, domination, mistreatment, as well as situations of complicity or failure to report.
The signal-sports@sports.gouv.fr address can be used to collect all victim testimonies.
