Melvin Raffin, World-Class Performance in Eaubonne

On Saturday, January 31, at the Stéphane Diagana indoor stadium in Eaubonne, Athletica had the honor of hosting a world-class performance. For his winter comeback, Melvin Raffin dominated the triple jump competition at the Île-de-France Indoor Championships with a jump of 16.96 m, the world's best performance of the season to date.

This mark is also of major importance in the race for international qualification. With 16.96 m, Melvin Raffin exceeds by six centimeters the minimum set by the French Athletics Federation for the World Indoor Championships in Toruń (March 20–22). This performance allows him to secure his ticket to the world's biggest winter event in his very first indoor competition.
