Looking Back at the Blue Monkey Battle 2024 : An Exceptional Weekend at Athletica !

This weekend, Athletica had the honor of hosting the fifth edition of the Blue Monkey Battle, an event that once again pushed the limits of self-improvement, strategy, and team spirit. On November 16th and 17th, 2024, the Stéphane Diagana Indoor Stadium was transformed into a true arena, gathering the 78 best CrossFit boxes for an exceptional competition. Each box sent its best team – 7 athletes (4 men, 3 women) led by a coach – ready to take on challenging, both physical and mental, obstacles.

The format, as captivating as ever, placed the role of the coach at the heart of the action. From the start of the weekend, the WODs were revealed, giving coaches only 30 minutes to analyze, plan, and assign roles based on the predefined athlete profiles. Every choice mattered. Every decision influenced the team’s performance. A competition that combined skill, strategy, and collective spirit – a true pleasure to watch and experience.

Athletes and coaches delivered an intense performance, with moments of bravery, resilience, and pure emotion. This year, every WOD victory was rewarded, adding extra motivation to each challenge. For the top three boxes, exceptional rewards were up for grabs:

• State-of-the-art equipment such as Echo Bikes, Ski-Ergs, handstand walk ramps, and weighted vests.
• A great way to support their progress and development as a CrossFit community.

Behind this event was a perfectly orchestrated organization, carried out with care and passion:

• The build team, tireless, assembled and disassembled the structures with remarkable efficiency.
• The scoring team, precise and reactive, ensured the smooth flow of the competition.
• The judging team, with their exemplary impartiality, made sure each event went smoothly.
• And of course, @lexa_flex on the decks and @yannick_toulouse_speaker on the mic brought the energy and lifted the crowd, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

The partner village, vibrant and welcoming, offered a place for exchange and discovery for all participants and visitors. Each exhibitor added their touch, contributing to the warm and dynamic atmosphere that defines the Blue Monkey Battle.
