Recap of the 2025 Sports Festival at Athletica
On September 14, Athletica hosted a vibrant and action-packed day to celebrate the Sports Festival 2025.
It was a day fueled by energy, discovery, and the joy of sharing through sport.
What is the Fête du Sport ?
Every year on September 14, France celebrates the National Sports Festival, established in 2024 in the wake of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. More than just an event, it is a nationwide movement aimed at encouraging sports participation, highlighting the social role of physical activity, and strengthening community ties around its core values.
Free, inclusive, and open to everyone, the Festival brings together over 5,000 events across France: workshops, demonstrations, athlete meet-and-greets, and engaging activities for all audiences.
Led by the Ministry of Sports, alongside the CNOSF, CPSF, the City of Paris, and the European Commission, and supported by more than 48 sports federations, this symbolic day concludes with a powerful moment: the extinguishing of the Paris 2024 Cauldron. This act not only closed a summer of celebration but also marked the beginning of a new sporting momentum for the entire nation.
The Sports Festival is a unique opportunity to make sport accessible to all: to discover new disciplines, take on challenges, and share moments with family or friends, regardless of background or ability. Athletica remains deeply committed to this mission, ensuring that everyone can try, experience, and celebrate sport without barriers.

What the public took away
Attendees frequently spoke of the event’s contagious energy: “100% energy and discovery.”
The challenge-based formats were especially popular—playful, participatory, and motivating people to step out of their comfort zone.
Inclusivity also left a lasting impression: adapted activities, shared emotions, and moments of genuine connection.
Visitors also appreciated the rare opportunity to explore a high-performance sports center, once used as the Team USA training base during the Paris 2024 Olympics—walking the same paths as some of the world’s greatest athletes.
A heartfelt thank you
Athletica extends its gratitude to the visitors, associations, facilitators, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this Sunday so memorable. We are honored to carry the spirit of this festival and proud to build bridges through sport.
Our sincere thanks also go to the Ministry of Sports, the Val d’Oise, and the CDOS95 for their support.
See you next year! Until then, let’s stay active, curious, and united.
